our time offers us, which could ideally meld with the

We began with the concept to

As an appealing idea
to work on, it was necessary to find a starting
point which could symbolize in a totally new way, and
why not a revolutionary one, concepts already well
established and readapt them to the history and wine
tradition of our country in a "futuristic" key.

forth where the more traditional and well-known French
model could find a new interpretation with an entirely
new meaning perfectly fitted to the Italian reality.
In France the "en primeur"
is exclusively a commercial opportunity when great wines
are tasted "en primeur" (while still aging in
barrels before being released on the market), to give
them the more fair market value for that year's vintage
and to negotiate the purchase price which will enable
the "negociant", as well as the retailer to buy
the product and then distribute it through traditional
channels.
We considered, with no
presumption, that the success of a such a model in
Italy is, to say the least, unlikely for more than one
reason, among which include the difference of our
vine-growing history, our viticultural traditions and
furthermore the different needs of a domestic market
that discourages operations of this type on a large
scale.
